지난 금요일에 아이팟 터치에서 한글 입력이 가능한 방법이 나왔다는 소식을 듣고
그 방법을 아이폰에도 적용하기 위해 시도를 했었는데, 드디어 방법을 알아냈습니다.
(한글 사용을 고대하던 국내 아이폰 사용자에게 도움이 되었으면 하는 바램입니다)

대상은 Jailbreak을 한 펌웨어 1.1.1을 설치한 아이폰이면 가능합니다.

기본 방법은 http://coryas.com/ipod/에서 제공하는 화일과 방법을 이용합니다.
(1번부터 4번까지의 방법만 동일합니다)

1. http://coryas.com/korean-keyboard.zip  다운로드 합니다.
2. sftp(scp) 접속합니다.
3. /System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework/dict.dat
/System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework/wordlist.dat
/System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework/Keyboard-Japanese.artwork
위 3개 파일을 백업
4. 압축 풀어서 dict.dat, wordlist.dat, Keyboard-Japanese.artwork파일들을 /System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework/ 에 덮어씌웁니다

이후 방법은 아이폰에만 해당되는 방법입니다.

5. 첨부된 com.apple.preferences.plist 화일을 다운로드 저장(또는 다른 링크을 다운로드 저장)
 
6. 다운로드 받은 화일을 ~/Library/Preferences 에 저장 (만약 접속한 ID가 root 계정이라면 절대 경로는 /private/var/root/Library/Preferences 가 됩니다)

7. 아이폰 리부팅

8. 아이폰 메뉴에서 Settings -> General -> Keyboard -> Internation Keyboards 에서 Japanese 선택
   (또는 새로 생기는 Settings -> General -> International 에서 Language를 한글을 선택하고, Keyboard를 일본어로 선택)
   위의 plist 화일을 설치함으로 펌웨어 1.1.1에 숨겨져 있던 다국어 입력 기능이 enable 되게 됩니다.

사용 방법과 제약은 동일합니다.  

ㄱ,ㄷ,ㅂ,ㅌ,ㅍ 을 초성으로 사용할 경우에는 대문자로 입력해주셔야 합니다. ( ㄱ(R), ㄷ(E), ㅂ(Q), ㅌ(X), ㅍ(V) )

오늘자로 1.02 버전으로 업데이트가 된 버전이 다시 나왔습니다.

화일은 http://www.deadbeef.cn/files/anySIM_102.zip 에서 다운로드 받으실 수 있고,
별도의 SCP 절차 없이, install.app가 설치되어 있다면 다음과 같이 사파리 브라우저를 띄워
Install.app에 추가할 수 있네요.

  1. 아이폰에서 사파리 실행
  2. 주소 입력창에 http://iphone.blurgle.ca/repo 입력 후 접속
  3. AppTapp Installer 라는 제목의 팝업이 띄고, "Add new package source http://iphone.blurgle.ca/repo/" ?" 라고 물으면 yes를 선택
  4. Installer.app 에 AnySIM 항목이 추가됨 (system 분류에)
  5. 스프링보드에서 Installer.app를 실행하여 anySIM을 선택하여 실행

Apple previously warned:

“Apple strongly discourages users from installing unauthorized unlocking programs on their iPhones.  Users who make unauthorized modifications to the software on their iPhone violate their iPhone software license agreement and void their warranty.  The permanent inability to use an iPhone due to installing unlocking software is not covered under the iPhone’s warranty.”

Therefore, we have decided to offer every iPhone customer who purchased an iPhone from either Apple or AT&T, and who is not receiving a rebate or any other consideration, a $100 store credit towards the purchase of any product at an Apple Retail Store or the Apple Online Store. Details are still being worked out and will be posted on Apple's website next week. Stay tuned.

비록 현금은 아니지만, 정말 내리기 쉽지 않은 결정임에도 저런 결정을 내린다는 것은 대단한 자신감이자 배려인 것 같습니다.

CNet 블로그에 올라온 Don Reisinger의 글은 꽤 의미있는 글인 것 같습니다.

스티브 잡스의 아이폰 전략과 해킹과의 관련성에 대한 꽤 의미 있는 하나의 가설을 이야기하고 있으니까 말이죠.

애플이 앞으로도 계속 해킹을 허용할 것인가 ? 라는 질문에 대한 답은 다음 문장에 있는 것 같습니다.

Apple entered into an exclusivity deal with AT&T (albeit begrudgingly) and was forced to make the device as "unhackable" as possible. But as we all know, nothing is unhackable.

아이폰에서 접속하기 편하게 아이폰용 사이트 목록을 간단하게 정리해보았습니다. :)
(물론 국내 사이트의 경우 정확하게 아이폰 사이트에 해당하이 아닌 것도 있지만 참조의 의미로 ... )
